Retina Ophthalmology in Williamsburg, VA A growing private ophthalmology practice in Williamsburg, Virginia, is adding a fellowship-trained retina specialist to meet strong patient demand. You'll work with a retina-focused referral base, established OD relationships, and a schedule that balances clinic and surgery while supporting a high quality of life.
Position Overview:
Balanced Schedule:
Two clinic days, two injection days, and one surgical day weekly for a sustainable work-life rhythm
Surgical Experience:
15-20 surgical cases per week (primarily cataracts) performed onsite in a 3,000 sq. ft. surgical space with two
ORs Predictable Call:
1:4 phone-only call rotation with no hospital call responsibilities
Earnings Potential:
$400K - $450K base salary plus 35% net collections, $50K sign-on bonus, relocation up to $10K, and comprehensive benefits with malpractice tail coverage Candidate Requirements Retina fellowship-trained ophthalmologist, board-certified or board-eligible. Comfortable managing high-volume retina injections and cataract surgery Strong interest in a physician-led, private practice environment Open to early-career and experienced candidates alike.
