Job Description
Overview Medical Director of Pediatric Hospital Medicine
- Southwestern Vermont Medical Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC), a member of Dartmouth Health (DH), is seeking an experienced, collaborative physician leader to serve as Medical Director of Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
Injections:
subcutaneous, intradermal, intramuscular Inpatient- Chest Tube Placement (Pediatrics) Inpatient
- Endotracheal intubation, emergency Inpatient
- Gastric lavage (accidental ingestions) Inpatient
- Manage preoperative/postoperative care directly or on a consultative basis Inpatient
- Peripheral arterial puncture Insertion of intravenous lines Laceration repair, simple suture/suture removal Newborn
- Circumcision Newborn
- Evaluate, diagnose and treat newborns, 35 weeks gestation and above Newborn
- Frenectomy Evaluation of physical and sexual abuse Manage uncomplicated simple fractures/dislocations Suprapubic bladder aspiration (Pediatrics) Urethral catheterization Venipuncture Qualifications MD or DO Degree Successful completion of an
ACGME/AOA
- accredited residency training program in Pediatrics Board Certified in Pediatrics Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice in a Pediatric Hospital Medicine setting Eligible for Vermont medical license Required Licensure/Certifications
- Current or Eligible for Vermont Medical License
- Current or eligible for ABMS Board Certification (to be obtained within 5 years)
- Active hospital staff membership
