This is a contract, on-site position offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced cardiology physician to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative healthcare environment. As a Locum Cardiology physician, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular conditions, working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive cardiovascular assessment and diagnostic services for patients Interpret electrocardiograms (ECGs/EKGs), echocardiograms, stress tests, and other cardiac diagnostic studies Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with cardiac conditions Manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions, including heart failure, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease Collaborate with primary care physicians, nurses, and other specialists to coordinate patient care Perform and document thorough patient histories, physical examinations, and progress notes Educate patients and their families on cardiac health, treatment options, and preventive care Participate in on-call coverage and respond to cardiac emergencies as needed Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic procedures Ensure compliance with all medical regulations, protocols, and documentation standards Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiology Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Vermont (or ability to obtain licensure) Current DEA registration and

BLS/ACLS

certification Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in cardiology or a related field Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective patient and team interaction Ability to work independently and manage a variable caseload in a contract role Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred
