Job Description

Join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to providing high-quality patient care in the serene and beautiful surroundings of Washington state. We are seeking a board-certified Interventional Radiologist for a locum tenens assignment in the Ashford area, with potential opportunities for locum-to-permanent transition.

Interventional Radiology Physician Setting :
Hospital-based practice in a Level 3
Trauma Center Schedule :
Day Shift :
8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Call Coverage :
Required for the full week if on rotation
Weekend Requirements :
Full 24-hour call coverage on
Saturdays and Sundays Caseload :
Approximately 8-11 cases daily, with a high volume of paracentesis, thoracentesis, and biopsies
Facility Highlights:
Emergency Volume :
Approximately 55,000 annual ER visits
EMR System :
EPIC, with teleradiology support via Philips ISite platform
Support Staff :
Includes two local interventional radiologists and a team of IR support professionals
Responsibilities:
Conduct a variety of imaging and interventional procedures:
Required Imaging Procedures :
Angiography, CT, and Ultrasound Required Interventional Procedures :
Angioplasty, stent placement, chemoembolization, embolization, aortic aneurysm endograft stenting, needle biopsies, thrombolysis, and kyphoplasty Collaborate with a large team of radiologists across the health system
Qualifications:
Board Certification :
AOBR or ABR in
Interventional Radiology Required Fellowship Training :
Strongly preferred in Interventional Radiology (IR)
Licensure :
Active Washington State medical license
Required Certifications :
ACLS certification
Required Credentialing:
Timeframe :
Approximately 3-4 months to complete credentialing
