Sonic Healthcare USA provides comprehensive pathology services across the Puget Sound region. We are seeking a full-time Surgical Pathologist to join our dynamic and collaborative team of 4-8 pathologists and three Pathologist Assistants. Our practice supports multiple hospitals and outreach clinics, delivering high-quality diagnostic services to a diverse patient population. The Puget Sound region in coastal Washington State is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty, vibrant communities, and abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation along the Pacific Ocean. Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and a matched 401(k) plan Attractive sign-on bonus Qualifications & Expectations AP/CP board certification required Subspecialty expertise in GI/Liver, Hematopathology, or Cytopathology highly desired 3-5 years of prior practice experience preferred; recently trained fellows will be considered Must hold or be eligible for a Washington State medical license Service Responsibilities Sign out a broad range of surgical cases Interpret intraoperative frozen sections and cytology rapid on-site evaluations (ROSE) Present at general and/or specialty tumor boards Serve as CLIA director for hospital laboratories Participate in call coverage, shared equally among all pathologists Hospital Affiliation Tacoma General Hospital (Tacoma, WA) - MultiCare's flagship facility and a Level II Trauma Center with 437 beds.
