Certification ACLS Certification Monitoring and managing IVs Anesthesiology Clinical documentation Medical License Full Job Description Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) - Mobile Pediatric Dental & Oral Surgery Anesthesia (Greater Seattle Area) Rhema Anesthesia is seeking a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) to provide office-based general anesthesia for pediatric dental and oral surgery cases in the Greater Seattle area . We operate a well-supported mobile model— anesthesia machine, monitors, medications/supplies, and a clinical assistant are provided —so you can focus on safe, efficient, high-quality patient care. This role is ideal for an anesthesiologist who is professional, punctual, reliable , and confident delivering anesthesia in an ambulatory/office-based setting. Job Type Per diem / As-needed (with potential for more consistent scheduling) Compensation $400-$600 per hour , depending on patient flow, case mix, and schedule needs Work Setting Office-based anesthesia (mobile) Pediatric dental offices and oral surgery practices in the Greater Seattle area Anesthesia machine, monitors, medications/supplies, and a clinical assistant provided Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality general anesthesia for:
ASA I-II
pediatric dental patients
ASA I-II
adolescents/young adults undergoing oral surgery (e.g., wisdom teeth) Perform comprehensive pre-anesthetic evaluations (history, airway, fasting status, risk stratification) Develop and execute anesthesia plans appropriate for office-based settings Induce, maintain, and safely emerge patients from anesthesia Establish and manage IV access (including pediatric IV placement) Administer anesthetic agents and adjunct medications per protocol and clinical judgment Airway management (both required for this role): Nasal intubation for pediatric dental anesthesia LMA placement and management for oral surgery anesthesia (Experience preferred; training provided for the right candidate.) Continuously monitor physiologic status and respond promptly to changes Recognize and manage anesthesia-related complications and emergencies (e.g., laryngospasm, bronchospasm, anaphylaxis, PONV, etc.) Maintain accurate and timely anesthesia documentation Communicate professionally with dentists/oral surgeons, staff, and parents/guardians Collaborate with the clinical assistant to support efficient setup, turnover, and workflow Follow all safety protocols and emergency preparedness standards for office-based anesthesiaRequired Qualifications MD or DO with completion of an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology Active Washington State medical license (or ability to obtain) Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (required) Competency in IV placement and management , including pediatrics Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in office-based anesthesia Professional, punctual, and reliable Excellent communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications Pediatric anesthesia experience (preferred; training provided if needed) Office-based anesthesia and/or dental/oral surgery anesthesia experience (a plus) Strong pediatric airway and vascular access skills Patient Population Pediatrics (ASA I-II): typically nasal intubation + IV placement Adolescents/young adults (ASA I-II): typically
