Provide labor and delivery coverage at a rural hospital setting Manage routine labor, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections Perform postpartum rounding and emergency gynecologic consults Support staff with limited high-risk obstetrics responsibilities Collaborate with CNM and hospital team usingEPIC EMR
system Support approximately 15-20 shifts per month, supporting various days and nights Float to other nearby sites (Janesville, Monroe Clinic, Madison) as neededWhat You Need:
MD or DO with board certification in OB-GYN Active state license (IMLC accepted)BLS, ACLS, NRP
certifications 1-2 years of obstetrics experience preferred Ability to support labor management, deliveries, and emergency consults Willingness to float to other local facilities as needed About theAssignment:
This assignment at a rural community hospital focuses on providing comprehensive OB-GYN services, primarily labor and delivery care, in a setting with approximately 120 births annually. The unit features routine management, emergency gynecologic procedures, and postpartum care, with no high-risk obstetrics. The facility supports a collaborative environment with full documentation via EPIC EMR and limited staffing levels designed to maximize physician impact.
