An Obstetrician (OB) or Gynecologist (GYN) is a physician who specializes in women's reproductive health and pregnancy. These doctors also treat issues specific to women such as breast cancer, hormonal disorders, and cervical cancer.
Preferred Duties & Responsibilities Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for OB/GYN services, including weekends. Conduct clinic hours Monday through Friday (4 hours/day) for OB, GYN, pessaries, and annual appointments. Review lab results, manage inbasket messages, and serve as a resource for nursing staff. Perform routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections, VBACs, and repair of lacerations. Collaborate with certified nurse midwife and other locum providers.
