The facility maintains established clinical protocols and appropriate staffing models, including 24-hour NP coverage, to support quality patient outcomes. Surgical cases exceeding the scope of the unit are coordinated for transfer to a higher-level facility. About the Facility Location Alabama offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of regional attractions and recreational opportunities throughout the year. The state provides year-round activities across diverse landscapes, including outdoor recreation, cultural destinations, and community events suited to varied interests. Clinicians on assignment may explore natural areas, historic sites, and local venues throughout the region during their time in the state. About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide neonatal-perinatal medicine care on a day shift basis, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, operating on a 7-on/7-off schedule at an inpatient, on-site Level
III NICU
in Alabama. Responsibilities include therapeutic hypothermia (cooling) and stabilization of neonates, with surgical cases requiring transfer to an appropriate facility. The unit accepts neonates transferred from rural hospitals and returns patients requiring surgery to the appropriate receiving center. NP coverage is available on-site 24 hours a day, and board certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine is required for this assignment.
