This energetic position offers the opportunity to deliver comprehensive foot care using advanced techniques and technologies. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient mobility, comfort, and overall quality of life. Your expertise will help shape innovative treatment plans and improve patient outcomes in a fast-paced clinical environment. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations focused on foot and ankle health Diagnose a wide range of podiatric conditions such as bunions, heel pain, ingrown toenails, diabetic foot ulcers, and sports injuries Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating procedures like suturing, wound care, orthotic fitting, and perioperative care Utilize advanced imaging techniques including medical imaging and diagnostic radiology to inform diagnoses Perform minor surgical procedures such as toenail removal or wound debridement in outpatient settings Educate patients on foot health maintenance, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications through health coaching Maintain accurate medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or EMR systems in compliance with HIPAA standards Requirements Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice in the state Proven experience in outpatient podiatric care with familiarity in clinical research and diagnostic evaluation Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to foot and ankle health Proficiency with EHR systems, medical imaging interpretation, and CPT coding for billing purposes Ability to perform surgical procedures such as suturing and wound care confidently and aseptically Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications in diabetic foot care or sports medicine are a plus Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by restoring mobility and alleviating pain through expert podiatric care.
