Full-Time (Pan Handle) & Part-time (Pensacola, FL & Tahalasse, FL)
Job Summary & Responsibilities:
We are seeking a licensed Podiatrist Physician (DPM) to provide routine foot care and wound care services to residents in nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, and long-term care facilities throughout Florida, specifically the Panhandle region. The physician will work closely with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with applicable medical standards and regulations.
Responsibilities include:
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' foot and ankle conditions Provide routine foot care including nail trimming, callus removal, and wound care Diagnose and treat foot-related conditions such as ulcers, infections, and deformities Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Collaborate with facility staff and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care Educate patients, families, and caregivers on preventive foot care practices Complete electronic scheduling and documentation using EMR software Travel between assigned facilities as required
Education, Licensure, and Experience:
Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree required Active DPM license required or ability to obtain licensure within the required timeframe Board Qualified or Board Certified by ABPM and/or ABFAS preferred Strong clinical skills in podiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate approach toward elderly patients and caregivers Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout
