As an Associate Podiatrist, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive assessments, developing treatment plans, and executing advanced podiatric procedures in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Duties Conduct thorough patient evaluations including medical history review, physical examinations, and assessment of foot and ankle conditions. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Perform diagnostic procedures such as medical imaging interpretation (e.g., X-rays, Ultrasound scans) to assist in diagnosis. Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating conservative therapies, surgical interventions, and advanced techniques like botulinum toxin treatments for spasticity or pain management. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including orthopedists, radiologists, endocrinologists, and physical therapists to optimize patient outcomes. Educate patients on foot health, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment rehabilitation including wound care and orthotic fitting. Assist in clinical research initiatives aimed at advancing podiatric medicine practices and outcomes. Qualifications Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state licensure or certification to practice podiatry. Proven experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms. Knowledge of medical imaging modalities including X-ray and CT interpretation relevant to podiatry. Familiarity with advanced procedures like minimally invasive surgery, wound management, and perioperative care. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to foot and ankle conditions. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and empathetically. Preferred skills include experience with medical coding (CPT/ICD), basic life support certification, knowledge of dermatology related to foot health, and familiarity with inpatient hospital settings or outpatient clinics. Candidates with expertise in interventional radiography or vascular interventional radiology are especially encouraged to apply.
