Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Podiatrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various foot and ankle conditions, providing comprehensive patient care, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires a strong understanding of podiatric medicine, excellent patient service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a clinical environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough examinations of patients' feet and ankles to diagnose conditions. Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Perform surgical procedures as necessary, including but not limited to bunionectomies, hammertoe corrections, and wound care. Utilize EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient records and treatment plans. Collaborate with other medical professionals in multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care. Educate patients on foot health, preventive care, and proper footwear. Stay updated on advancements in podiatric medicine and participate in clinical research as needed. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality. Requirements Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state license to practice podiatry. Experience with EHR systems; familiarity with Epic is a plus. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to podiatry and general medicine. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and education. Ability to perform basic life support and maintain current certifications. Experience in outpatient settings preferred; familiarity with inpatient care is advantageous. Skills in wound care, surgical procedures, and acute pain management are highly desirable. Knowledge of additional specialties such as endocrinology, dermatology, or orthopedics is a plus. Join our team and make a difference in the lives of patients by providing exceptional podiatric care.
