Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a vital role supporting students' educational journeys during the Extended School Year! This contract position offers a unique opportunity for a dedicated School Psychologist to provide compensatory services throughout the Birmingham area. The assignment runs from June 15th through July 30th, 2026, focusing on in-person support—virtual or remote services are not part of this contract.
Key Qualifications:
Active and valid School Psychologist license in Alabama is required Experience working in K-12 educational settings, delivering school-based psychological services Familiarity with IEPs, assessment, and compensatory service delivery Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Able to commit to an in-person, on-site role during scheduled ESY hours
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver compensatory school psychology services as designated by student IEPs and district requirements Conduct assessments, provide counseling, and write detailed documentation of services provided Liaise with educators and support staff to facilitate student engagement and progress Support student success for all assigned caseloads during the ESY session Maintain accurate records and ensure all services are performed in compliance with state and district guidelines What's in It for
