Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting elementary students as a contract School Psychologist in the Huntsville, AL area. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact through direct assessment, behavioral support, and consultation—all within a welcoming school community. This full-time assignment (37.5 hours per week) covers the full academic year (NSY). You'll partner with educators and families, applying your expertise to help young learners overcome academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Valid state licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist Master's or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred Knowledge of evidence-based evaluation and intervention strategies Strong skills in behavioral management and consultation Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration abilitiesKey Responsibilities:
Conduct educational and psychological evaluations to inform student services Develop and monitor behavior management plans tailored to individual needs Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to create supportive learning environments Participate in data-driven decision making, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary student support teams Provide guidance, crisis intervention, and preventative services as needed This position offers a fulfilling way to leverage your training, helping students achieve success academically and personally.
