Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a difference supporting students' growth and well-being as a contract School Psychologist in a vibrant educational setting near Huntsville, AL. This full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday) is ideal for passionate professionals looking to dedicate their expertise to one elementary school, allowing you to build meaningful connections with staff, students, and families. As part of a knowledgeable team of School Psychologists, you will focus exclusively on supporting the needs of your assigned campus. Your day will be filled with varied and impactful activities including conducting assessments, facilitating small skill groups, contributing to special education initiatives, and collaborating with other educators to create a nurturing learning environment. Key Qualifications Current certification/licensure as a School Psychologist Experience in schools working with elementary-age children Strong assessment, observation, and documentation skills Familiarity with special education (SPED) processes and best practices Ability to lead and facilitate small groups focused on skill development Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Commitment to working on-site; virtual candidates cannot be considered Responsibilities Complete comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and reports Provide direct support to students through counseling and skill-building groups Consult with educators and families to support student learning plans Participate actively in the IEP process and student support meetings Monitor progress and maintain up-to-date student records Foster a positive, inclusive environment within your assigned school This is a unique opportunity to shine in a role where your expertise is valued and your daily work translates into real results for young learners.
