Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Take your expertise as a School Psychometrist to a dynamic educational setting near Lafayette, AL. This full-time contract opportunity allows you to collaborate across multiple schools in the district. You'll play a vital part in student assessment and support, directly impacting students' educational journeys.
Qualifications:
Current certification in psychometry from the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) Demonstrated experience as a School Psychometrist or School Psychologist Understanding of special education processes and IEP requirements Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability and willingness to travel between schools within the district
Responsibilities:
Conduct formal psychological and academic evaluations for students as requested Accurately interpret assessment results and clearly communicate findings to IEP teams Provide written reports that support special education eligibility and planning Participate actively in special education meetings, offering professional insights and recommendations Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to ensure comprehensive student support Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards for assessment and reporting This role offers a chance to contribute meaningfully to school communities, work alongside passionate professionals, and engage with students across grade levels.
