Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a significant role supporting the academic success and well-being of students by joining a district-wide educational team as a Full-time Psychometrist. Embrace the opportunity to make a daily impact by ensuring students' needs are accurately identified and met through expert evaluation and collaboration. What you'll bring: Valid ALSDE (Alabama State Department of Education) certification for psychometry Experience in school psychology or psychometry, with the ability to administer standardized assessments Strong communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating with educators and IEP teams Willingness to travel between different schools within the district Familiarity with special education processes and commitment to student advocacy What you'll be doing: Conduct formal psychoeducational evaluations with students, collecting reliable and meaningful data Interpret assessment results and share them with IEP teams, offering recommendations and insights Attend and actively participate in special education meetings Collaborate closely with school psychologists, educators, and parents to support individualized student plans Maintain accurate records and uphold the highest standards of ethical and professional practice Help schools make data-driven decisions for interventions and services This contract-based position offers the chance to engage with a diverse student population and work alongside a dedicated, supportive team of professionals.
