Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Take the next step in your school psychology career by making a difference as a full-time Psychometrist supporting students and staff. This contract opportunity offers dynamic, hands-on involvement across multiple school sites, giving you the chance to work closely with diverse student populations and collaborate with dedicated educational professionals.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid ALSDE certification for psychometry is required. Proven experience conducting psychological and educational assessments in a school setting. Strong understanding of special education compliance, IEP process, and formal evaluation procedures. Excellent communication skills for interpreting and presenting assessment results to IEP teams and parents. Ability to travel between schools within the district as needed.
What You'll Do:
Perform formal evaluations and assessments for students referred to special education. Interpret and communicate quantitative data and test results to IEP teams and related staff. Attend IEP and other special education meetings, contributing assessment expertise to team planning. Support data-driven decisions by preparing clear, comprehensive evaluation reports. Serve as a collaborative and informative partner to teachers, staff, and families regarding assessment findings. Stay current on best practices, district procedures, and compliance standards for psychometric testing.
