Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic environment supporting student success through skilled assessment and collaboration. As a seasoned School Psychometrist, you'll play a pivotal role in guiding educational decisions and fostering positive outcomes for diverse learners. In this contract-based, full-time position, you'll work closely with school teams to deliver crucial psychometric services across multiple school sites within the district.
Key Qualifications:
Current ALSDE certification for psychometry is required Experience with the principles and practices of school psychology or psychometry Proven ability to administer formal educational and psychological assessments efficiently Strong interpretive skills to turn test results into actionable insights for individual education plans (IEPs) Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with educators, administrators, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
Travel between schools in the district to provide comprehensive assessment services as needed Administer standardized psychological and educational evaluations to students referred for special education consideration Compile and analyze test scores, preparing clear and insightful reports to present to IEP teams Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to communicate findings and support the development of effective educational strategies Attend and participate in special education meetings, contributing key data and professional perspectives on student needs This role allows you to impact students' educational journeys while working in a supportive, collaborative network of professionals.
