Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a full-time School Psychologist to support a small school district serving approximately 1,100 K-12 students across four buildings. This position is based in Eagar, AZ, and is offered on a contract basis for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will possess experience working with K-12 populations and have the ability to provide comprehensive psychological services in a multi-building district setting. This role is critical to maintaining and enhancing the district's support for student mental health and academic success, as it fills a vacancy left by a departing psychologist.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results Collaborating with educators, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) Providing consultation and support for behavior management and intervention strategies Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to the development of school-wide initiatives Delivering counseling and crisis intervention services as needed Desired qualifications: Valid school psychologist certification or licensure Experience working within a K-12 school environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students and staff Ability to manage caseload across multiple school buildings Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive educational atmosphere This contract position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact in a smaller school district while gaining valuable professional experience.
