Job Summary:
EMIT Learning is hiring experienced School Psychologists for the 2026-2027 school year. This role is based on school campuses in Phoenix, Mesa, and Tucson, Arizona. The School Psychologist will support students through assessments, counseling, behavior support, IEP collaboration, and documentation. This role works closely with teachers, school staff, families, and support teams to promote student emotional well-being and academic success.
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate student cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and social development. Provide individual and group counseling for students facing emotional, behavioral, academic, and social challenges. Develop and implement behavior management strategies for students with diverse learning and developmental needs. Collaborate with teachers, staff, and support teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs, IEPs, for students with disabilities. Support case management, student intervention plans, and early intervention strategies. Maintain accurate documentation, assessment records, intervention notes, and related student records. Participate in school meetings, IEP meetings, and team discussions as needed. Work with diverse student populations, including students on the autism spectrum.
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, School Psychology, or a related field. Valid Arizona state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist, or eligibility to obtain required credentials before the start date. Experience working as a School Psychologist in a school setting. Strong knowledge of psychological assessments, counseling methods, IEP processes, and case management practices. Experience with psychotherapy techniques for children and adolescents. Knowledge of early intervention strategies is preferred. Experience supporting students with autism spectrum disorder and diverse learning needs. Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills. Ability to work on-site at school campuses in Phoenix, Mesa, or Tucson, Arizona.
