QUALIFICATIONS
1. Eligible for internship in school psychology 2. Current enrollment as a graduate student in an accredited university psychology or educational psychology program leading to a school psychologist certificate 3. Enrollment in or completion of doctoral level program (preferred)
REPORTS TO
Administrator of Special Programs or otherwise assigned
JOB GOAL
Assist the supervising psychologist in improving the school education experience for all students including those with disabilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in identifying appropriate interventions including those related to crisis, school-wide, regular classroom, special education classrooms, gifted education and individual students Provides consultation to district and school administration, individual staff members, parents, community and specific programs within the district. Provides psychological expertise to the Multidisciplinary Evaluation process in determining eligibility and specific programming needs of students Provides therapeutic intervention addressing the mental health needs of individual students, groups of students, and the families of students of Tolleson Elementary School District No.17 Provides training to district-wide staff and school faculties on selected topics, and to Practicum students, Interns, and Post-Doctoral students as specified Provides support to Tolleson Elementary School District No. 17 in it's effort to evaluate individual programs, assists in establishing local norms, and identify student characteristics that will positively impact the education of all students. Completes intern professional development trainings, seminars and clinical training requirements as directed by the supervising psychologist ensuring that any university requirements are completed. Provides other related tasks that may be assigned by the Administrator of Special Programs or supervising psychologist.

EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with Board policy on evaluation of professional staff.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and work year in accordance with the currently approved Academic Support Placement.
