Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact working with students as a School Psychologist on a contract basis in the Fairfield, CA area. In this rewarding role, you will serve as a vital advocate for student well-being and academic success, collaborating closely with educators and families to support diverse learners. Ideal candidates have a strong foundation in psychological assessment, counseling, and intervention within school settings, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology Experience in administering and interpreting educational and psychological assessments Knowledge of Special Education law and the IEP process Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students' strengths and areas for growth Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention to students as needed Offer consultation and guidance to teachers, parents, and staff regarding academic and behavioral supports Participate in Response to Intervention (RtI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) initiatives Support positive school climate by implementing evidence-based practices As a valued member of the educational community, you will have the opportunity to contribute insights and expertise in a dynamic environment.
