All schools offer transitional kindergarten and strong support services, including special education and mental health, in addition to after-school care at all nine schools supporting approximately 1,500 students. GUSD offers embedded programs to address specific needs of gifted students and English Learners across the district. Each school maintains a 1.0-1.5 full time positions to support intervention needs for all students. With small class sizes, a focus on a science based approach to literacy, STEAM, and strong community partnerships, GUSD is committed to a district vision providing powerful instruction, purposeful individualization, and productive partnerships that lead to positive evidence of student growth and success. Job Summary Job Summary The School Psychologist provides a range of psychological and counseling services to support students' academic achievement, social-emotional development, and behavioral success. This role involves conducting assessments, developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), providing counseling to students individually and in groups, and consulting with staff and families. The position collaborates with school teams to promote a safe and inclusive learning environment, address student needs, and ensure compliance with educational and legal standards. Preferred candidate would be fluent in both English and Spanish, ideally have MFT license or extensive counseling experience.
