- Everyone can contribute to the good of the community Job Summary Job Summary Under the general direction of the Executive Director of Special Services or designee, the Director of Special Services is responsible for establishing a comprehensive approach to improve school climate, creating inclusive schools for students with exceptional needs, and fostering a District culture to ensure equity and social justice.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum five (5) years of outstanding administrative experience at the site and/or District Level with a minimum of three (3) years experience as a Principal. Experience with a focus on special education and a equity initiatives (preferred).
- Five (5) years of successful certificated experience and have a proven ability to perform at a high level of competence in positions of leadership and responsibility.
- Bilingual preferred.
EDUCATION
- Master's degree from an accredited university.
- Valid California teaching credential, Speech And Language Specialist or PPS credential in School Psychologist or Counseling. K-12 Credential.
- Valid California K-12 Administrative Credential.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BSBA Certification) preferred.
- Possession of an EL authorization or equivalent.
DISQUALIFICATION
While applicants are encouraged to research the community and the school system, anyone who attempts to directly contact individual board members, the superintendent, or cabinet team members with the intent of influencing the decision of the Board, will be considered to have disqualified herself/himself from candidacy for the position.APPLICATION PROCEDURE
