Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing essential psychological services in a supportive school environment. This contract opportunity offers full-time, full school year employment for the 2026/2027 academic year. You'll experience the rewards of working alongside a dedicated and close-knit special education team in a smaller district setting. Your expertise as a School Psychologist will help foster a nurturing educational atmosphere, as you collaborate with staff and families to support student success. The role includes working closely with colleagues, sharing insights, and applying your skills in assessment, consultation, and intervention to ensure every student's needs are met.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid license or eligibility for pending CDE approval School Psychologist experience in K-12 settings preferred Understanding of special education processes and services Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and consultation Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities Commitment to ethical practice and student-centered care
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments Participate in developing Educational Plans (IEPs and 504s) Provide individual and group counseling for students Consult with educators, families, and related service staff Support intervention strategies for academic, emotional, and behavioral needs Contribute to problem-solving and crisis management teams Maintain accurate and timely documentation This position offers the chance to grow both professionally and personally in a collaborative setting where your input is valued.
