In this vital role, you will conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, develop individualized support plans, and collaborate closely with educators, families, and other professionals to ensure each student's unique needs are met. Your expertise will help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive. Responsibilities Conduct psychological testing and diagnostic evaluations to assess student cognitive, social-emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs. Perform student assessments related to special education eligibility, behavior management, and mental health. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and support staff. Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on social-emotional development, coping strategies, and behavioral health. Offer crisis intervention and develop safety plans for students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services such as early intervention programs, family counseling, and behavioral interventions like applied behavior analysis (ABA). Support teachers and staff through training on behavior management techniques, social-emotional learning strategies, and compliance with special education law. Requirements Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field. Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist. Proven experience working with children in educational settings, especially those with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Strong skills in psychological testing, behavioral assessment, and diagnostic evaluation. Knowledge of special education laws (such as IDEA), IEP development, and compliance standards. Experience with crisis management, conflict resolution, and developing mental health treatment plans. Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with families, educators, counselors, social workers, and other professionals.
