A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated School Psychologist to serve students for the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you'll provide critical support to learners across all grade levels, contributing to their academic, social, and emotional success.
Key Qualifications:
Hold an active Connecticut Educator Certificate in School Psychology. Bilingual in Spanish to effectively serve the student community's diverse needs. Prior experience as a School Psychologist preferred, with ability to adapt to varying grade levels and caseloads. Solid understanding of assessment tools, interventions, and special education processes. Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Role Responsibilities:
Provide assessment, counseling, and consultation services to students, families, and staff. Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assist in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student learning and mental health. Deliver behavioral interventions and crisis intervention when needed. Maintain accurate, confidential records and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations. This is an onsite position supporting a vibrant school community near Danbury, CT. The contract is set for 30-32.5 hours per week from late August 2026 through late May 2027, with exact dates subject to changes.
