Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a vital role supporting students' success for the upcoming academic year as a School Psychologist in Danbury, CT. This contract position, spanning from late August through late May, is designed for a dedicated, bilingual (Spanish-speaking) professional passionate about making a difference in the school setting. Working onsite and collaborating closely with staff and families, you'll address a variety of academic, emotional, and behavioral needs across any grade level.
Key Qualifications:
Hold a valid Connecticut Educator Certification as a School Psychologist. Fluent in both Spanish and English; comfortable navigating bilingual assessment and support. Experience across varying grade levels and caseload sizes within school environments. Strong assessment, consultative, and intervention skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for students. Provide direct support and interventions for students' academic and social-emotional needs. Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to design and implement appropriate educational plans. Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary teams. Offer consultation and professional development to educators regarding student mental health and learning issues. Maintain accurate, timely documentation and reports according to school and state guidelines.
