Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in school psychology to a thriving educational environment near New Haven, CT for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year! This contract opportunity is ideal for dedicated professionals passionate about making a lasting impact on students' well-being and academic progress. Full-time candidates (32.5 hours per week) are highly desirable, though part-time arrangements can be considered. While the position requires in-person involvement, there is now flexibility for hybrid scheduling options.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Hold (or be eligible to obtain) a valid Connecticut School Psychologist certification; applicants with pending certification will also be considered. Demonstrated experience as a School Psychologist, particularly within school settings. Comfortable conducting student psychological and educational evaluations on a regular basis. Bilingual applicants are highly encouraged to apply and will receive additional compensation. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive evaluations and assessments for students as part of multidisciplinary teams. Develop and interpret Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to support student achievement. Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation to students, families, and staff. Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and administration to enhance student learning and emotional well-being. Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.

Competitive compensation provided: School Psychologists can anticipate earnings of $100.00-$105.00 per hour, while Bilingual School Psychologists can expect $105.00-$110.00 per hour.
