Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting student success as a licensed School Psychologist in a dynamic educational environment near Wilmington, Delaware. Work exclusively on-site within the Early Years Program, with the chance to make a lasting impact across a broad age range—preschool through high school. This full-time position runs from ASAP through June 12, 2026, with a stable, 37.5-hour work week.
Key Qualifications:
Active Delaware School Psychologist License (required and must be submitted with your application). Strong preference for candidates with previous school-based experience. Background providing psychological services to preschool, elementary, and high school students. Demonstrated skill in conducting psychoeducational assessments and composing comprehensive reports. Proficiency in participating collaboratively within IEP teams. Comfortable supporting multiple sites and flexible with grade-level needs. Reliable transportation for on-site presence; must be prepared to pass Red Clay fingerprinting process promptly ($90 upfront). Experience with similar programs or Red Clay CSD is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Administer psychoeducational evaluations to support student learning and behavioral needs. Draft detailed, actionable reports and communicate results to staff and families. Engage in IEP meetings, offering expert recommendations tailored to each student. Collaborate seamlessly with district professionals to best address student goals.
