School Psychologist in Columbus, GA ProCare Therapy - 3.9 Columbus, GA Job Details Full-time Qualifications Equipment service recordkeeping Personal service client interaction documentation Post-session clinical documentation Behavioral psychological assessments Special education assessments Special education law Individual psychological assessments Special education diagnostic testing Practicing as a school psychologist Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Exciting contract opportunities are available for dedicated School Psychologists ready to support K-12 students near Columbus, GA for the 2026-2027 academic year. Five onsite psychologists will be welcomed for a full-time schedule of at least 37.5 hours per week, with some flexibility for part-time arrangements depending on availability. These positions will run from August 3rd, 2026, through May 21st, 2027, and may include additional pre- or post-planning days. This role emphasizes collaboration with district leaders to match your expertise and age group preferences for optimal student support. Since final caseloads will be determined after interview discussions, you'll have input on placements that best suit your professional strengths. Consistent daily service logs are required, so comfort with documentation is essential.
Qualifications/Experience:
Active Georgia Educator Certification in School Psychology required Prior experience in a school setting highly preferred Thorough understanding of assessments, interventions, and compliance with state and federal special education requirements Strong communication and record-keeping skills Willingness and ability to work 100% onsite; no remote/virtual positions for this assignment
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and provide direct and consultative services to students Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support academic, social, and emotional growth Contribute to eligibility, IEP, and intervention meetings Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services rendered Assist with crisis response as necessary within the school While the district is finalizing its budget and interviews are projected to begin in June or early July, this is an excellent time to express your interest and secure your spot in the candidate pool for when hiring moves forward.
