Part-time Psychology Instructor Coe College - 4.3 Cedar Rapids, IA Job Details Part-time 3 days ago Qualifications Working with post-secondary students Doctoral degree Mid-level Master's degree Teaching psychology Psychology All but dissertation Instructor-led training (training delivery method) Classroom experience Psychology Full Job Description Per-Course Instructor of Abnormal Psychology The Department of Psychology at Coe College invites applicants for a per-course instructor to teach Abnormal Psychology, one of our most consistently in-demand courses and a gateway to upper-level study in counseling psychology. This position is an excellent fit for graduate students and early-career individuals who are drawn to teaching-focused liberal arts environments.
Per-Course Instructor of Abnormal Psychology:
The successful candidate will teach one section of Abnormal Psychology in Fall 2026 (TR 12:30-1:50 pm), with the opportunity to teach an additional section of Abnormal Psychology in Spring 2027. We have not yet set the spring schedule, and we are happy to offer flexibility around days and times that work best in Spring 2027 for the instructor we hire.
Course description:
PSY 235
Abnormal Psychology:
Examines the diagnosis, etiology, explanation, and treatment of major mental disorders. Focus is on understanding the interplay of biological and psychological forces in the development and treatment of disorders, with emphasis on research findings.
Qualifications:
ABD or terminal degree in Psychology or a closely related field preferred. Candidates with a completed master's degree and relevant teaching experience or clinical experience are also encouraged to apply. About Coe College and the
