Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in educational settings by providing essential mental health support as a part-time school-based Mental Health Therapist. This contract opportunity is designed to cover a maternity leave from October through December, offering you the chance to collaborate with a dedicated school community near Marshalltown, IA. You'll work 20 hours per week, helping to foster a nurturing environment for students and staff.
Qualifications:
Active license as an LMHC, LISW, LMFT, LMSW, or Psychologist Prior experience working with school-aged children or in educational settings Strong clinical assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative approach Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct mental health services, including individual and group counseling to students Conduct psychological assessments and contribute to student support plans Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to facilitate positive student outcomes Deliver crisis intervention and follow-up support as needed Maintain timely and accurate documentation of services Participate in meetings and consult with multidisciplinary teams within the school Perks of this
