Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational environment where your expertise as a school psychologist makes a positive difference each day. This contract role offers an excellent opportunity to support students' social, emotional, and academic growth in a collaborative setting located near Arlington Heights, IL. Successful candidates will be passionate about serving diverse student populations, skilled in assessment, and confident in collaborating with educators and families to develop actionable plans for student achievement. Your insights will help create a nurturing school atmosphere where every student can thrive.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in School Psychology Demonstrated experience in conducting psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting assessment data Ability to design and implement effective behavioral interventions and support plans Strong knowledge of IEP process, special education laws, and best practices Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families Experience leading or participating in crisis intervention teams is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, and social-emotional needs Provide individual and group counseling sessions as needed Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students' learning and behavioral goals Participate actively in IEP meetings and help develop data-driven interventions Provide expert guidance and resources to staff on promoting mental health and inclusion Contribute to initiatives that promote a positive, safe, and inclusive school culture This rewarding opportunity allows you to champion students' well-being and be a trusted resource for educational teams.
