Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity awaits for an experienced school psychologist eager to make a real difference. This contract position is ideal for a professional who is passionate about supporting students' success in school environments. The work takes place near Arlington Heights, IL, serving a diverse student population alongside talented educators and support staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree or higher in School Psychology from an accredited program Current and valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist Practical experience in an educational setting, interpreting psychoeducational assessments, and providing direct student services Excellent interpersonal, communication, and consultation skills Collaborative approach to working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Comfort with documentation procedures and confidentiality requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments Develop and implement intervention strategies in collaboration with teachers and staff Provide counseling and crisis intervention for students when needed Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing expertise in evaluation and recommendations Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to create supportive learning environments and positive behavioral interventions Maintain detailed and accurate student records in accordance with state and federal guidelines This contract position offers the chance to build meaningful relationships with students and fellow professionals, making a positive impact on the local community.
