Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students' growth and social-emotional well-being in a welcoming school environment near Arlington Heights, IL. We're seeking an experienced School Psychologist to embark on a role beginning August 11th, 2026, and running through at least May 26th, 2027 (with the possibility of extension due to emergency days). You'll work a consistent 40-hour week, partnering with students from early childhood through 4th grade in an elementary school setting.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Valid state certification or eligibility for school psychologist licensure Experience working with elementary-aged students, EC-4th grade, preferred Strong skills in assessments, counseling, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams Flexibility, adaptability, and excellent communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations for students, focusing on academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop effective intervention and support strategies Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional recommendations and data-driven insights Deliver counseling services (individual or group), crisis intervention, and consultative support as needed Maintain accurate, compliant records and documentation Foster a positive, supportive atmosphere that encourages student growth and resilience This role offers the chance to make a real impact, working closely with a dedicated team and influencing students' paths through expert assessment and advocacy.
