Duties Conduct psychological assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and social-emotional student assessments, to identify student needs and inform intervention strategies Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other specialists for students with disabilities or behavioral challenges Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on mental health support, social skills development, and behavioral management for students with diverse needs Offer crisis intervention and crisis management services to ensure student safety during emergencies or emotional distress episodes Collaborate with teachers, families, social workers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to coordinate case management and support plans Design safety plans and behavior management strategies tailored to students with special needs or behavioral health concerns Maintain accurate medical documentation, psychological testing records, and case notes in compliance with legal standards and confidentiality requirements Requirements Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist or equivalent credential Experience working with children and adolescents in school settings is highly preferred Strong knowledge of special education assessments, behavior management techniques, and applicable laws such as IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) Proficiency in conducting psychological testing, diagnostic evaluations, and patient assessments for diverse student populations including those with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, families, healthcare providers, and community agencies Ability to manage crisis situations calmly while implementing appropriate intervention strategies Familiarity with medical terminology related to mental health diagnoses and treatment plans is advantageous Join us in creating an empowering environment where every student can thrive!
