Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic and rewarding contract opportunity as a school psychologist, supporting students from early childhood through 5th grade in a vibrant educational environment near Bolingbrook and Oak Lawn, IL. With a focus on building-based services across three school buildings, you'll play a pivotal role in fostering students' well-being and success throughout the academic year. In this position, you'll work full-time—32.5 hours per week—Monday through Friday, with a daily schedule of 6.5 hours. The contract runs from August 17th through June 5th, aligning with the school calendar for optimal work-life balance.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist Experience supporting diverse student populations, including all disability types Strong assessment skills and familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) Comfortable facilitating and scheduling meetings with families and staff Experience conducting thorough psychoeducational evaluations and providing counseling Effective collaboration and communication abilities Multilingual skills in Spanish, Polish, or Arabic are highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive student assessments Schedule and facilitate IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings Provide individual and group counseling for students Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support educational plans Travel between three buildings to meet the needs of early childhood through 5th-grade students Assist with program planning and resources for students with various disabilities This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting a diverse range of learners in a welcoming, inclusive community.
