Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal support role for schools in the Cicero, IL area as a contract School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. Working full-time from August through June (Monday to Friday), you'll serve a diverse caseload across elementary, middle, and high school settings. This opportunity offers rewarding work with students, families, and school teams while utilizing your expertise in assessment and special education processes.
Key Qualifications:
Must hold a valid School Psychologist license in the state of Illinois Experience working in school settings, especially with students ages 3-18 In-depth knowledge of special education law and evaluation best practices Exceptional communication skills with families and multidisciplinary teams Ability to travel locally between multiple preschool locations for evaluations Strong documentation and organizational abilities
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, and functional behavioral assessments Complete initial evaluations for students as needed Serve as the primary evaluator for students K-4 or for early childhood (based on assignment) Attend and participate in IEP meetings, providing clear and compassionate communication to families who may be new to the special education process Facilitate MTSS data team meetings and support teams in the IEP and problem-solving processes (K-4 assignment) Partner with general education and special education staff across multiple sites (early childhood assignment) Ensure compliance with legal and ethical school psychology practices As part of this contract travel assignment, you'll gain valuable experience across school levels, contribute to positive student outcomes, and collaborate with dedicated educators.
