Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a dedicated School Psychologist, working with students in an engaging elementary setting from early childhood through 4th grade. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in a supportive environment for the upcoming academic year, with a start date of August 11th, 2026, and the potential for extension past May 26th, 2027, should emergency days arise. You'll work a steady 40 hours per week, providing professional psychological services and collaborating with educators to help children thrive both academically and emotionally.
Desired Experience and Skills:
Current licensure and credentialing as a School Psychologist Previous experience supporting elementary-aged students is highly desirable Familiarity with special education process, including assessments, IEP development, and progress monitoring Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive school environment Ability to utilize a variety of assessment tools and strategies
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to educational planning and intervention strategies Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective behavioral and academic interventions Provide individual and group counseling for students as needed Assist with crisis intervention and prevention programs within the school Support compliance with federal, state, and district regulations regarding special education This is your chance to empower students and become an integral part of their educational journey.
