YOUR ROLE
The Psychologist will enhance Heritage's screening, assessment, diagnosis, and risk assessment services, providing psychological and neuropsychological evaluations across the lifespan and supporting clinical teams with diagnostic clarity for complex presentations. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assessment:
    Conduct psychological and neuropsychological evaluations as performed by a licensed clinical psychologist.
  • Referrals Across the
Lifespan:
Accept referrals for individuals across the lifespan, including cases requiring diagnosis clarification.
  • Complete psychological examinations for youth requiring evaluation prior to residential placement.
  • Risk Assessment:
    Perform risk assessments to support safe, appropriate levels of care and treatment planning.
  • Diagnostic Formulation:
    Synthesize clinical interview, testing, and collateral data into clear diagnostic impressions and recommendations.
  • Collaboration:
    Partner with the multidisciplinary care team to integrate assessment findings into individualized treatment plans.
Documentation:
Complete timely, thorough evaluation reports in accordance with agency, state, and CCBHC standards. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Strong clinical judgment in differential diagnosis across a range of psychiatric and developmental presentations
  • Proficiency in administering, scoring, and interpreting standardized psychological and neuropsychological test batteries
  • Ability to communicate complex clinical findings clearly to clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong organizational skills to manage evaluation timelines and documentation requirements
  • Sound ethical judgment consistent with APA and Illinois licensure standards ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited program
  • Active, unrestricted license as a Clinical Psychologist in the State of Illinois
  • Experience conducting psychological and neuropsychological evaluations preferred
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across a range of clinical presentations preferred
  • A valid driver's license, reliable means of transportation, and proof of automobile insurance ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
