Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of young learners as a School Psychologist in an engaging elementary setting near Elgin, IL. This contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning August 11th and concluding May 26th (with potential extensions for emergency days). You'll enjoy a consistent 40-hour workweek, collaborating with a dedicated educational team while supporting students from Early Childhood through 4th grade.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology required Valid state licensure and credentials as a School Psychologist Previous experience working with elementary-aged children preferred Strong knowledge of evaluation, assessment, and response-to-intervention procedures Excellent communication, consultation, and collaboration skills Ability to adapt services to meet a range of student needs
Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and group assessments to identify student strengths and needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention as needed Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student learning and emotional well-being Offer consultative support and recommendations for academic and behavioral interventions Maintain thorough, compliant documentation and case records Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and staff development sessions This is a fantastic opportunity to foster positive educational outcomes in a supportive elementary environment.
