Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year, located in the welcoming community near Elgin, IL. This full-time, on-site position invites you to engage deeply with students and staff from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027. You'll work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, making a direct and meaningful impact throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Valid credential in School Psychology required Previous experience as a School Psychologist preferred Strong ability to navigate initial and triennial evaluations and paperwork Up-to-date knowledge of consultative and crisis intervention methods Skilled at report writing and data interpretation Familiarity with special education processes, including IEP meetings Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Core Responsibilities:
Serve as an active member of the Crisis Intervention Team to support student well-being Facilitate and complete comprehensive evaluations (initial and triennial), ensuring accuracy and compliance Coordinate all related paperwork and documentation in a timely manner Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate in building- and district-level special education conferences as needed Provide consultative support to educators, families, and students to enhance learning and adjustment Conduct evaluations and produce detailed reports to guide team decision-making Enjoy a collaborative professional environment where your expertise is valued, and your role is integral to student success.
