This contract position is created for a dedicated School Psychologist who thrives in educational environments and is passionate about helping students achieve success both academically and emotionally.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and student evaluations Collaborating with educators, counselors, and families to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) Leading and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings Delivering crisis intervention and counseling services as needed Assisting in the development of strategies for academic and behavioral improvement Promoting mental health awareness and providing resources for staff and families Maintaining organized, confidential records and documentation
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field Valid School Psychologist certification for the state Previous experience in school-based settings preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Deep understanding of federal and state special education regulations Ability to assess and address a range of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs Compassion and commitment to student well-being This assignment runs from August 12th through the full school year, offering an excellent opportunity to guide and support students as they navigate their educational journey.
