Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year as a dedicated professional supporting students' success and well-being. You'll provide vital services in both a junior high and a kindergarten, enhancing your breadth of experience while working with engaging and diverse student populations. This full-time position allows you to make a lasting positive impact during a pivotal stage in students' educational journeys.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid School Psychologist certification and relevant state licensure Previous experience working in K-8 school settings is highly preferred Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills Familiarity with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, partnering effectively with staff, students, and families Adaptability and organizational proficiency across multiple grade levels and buildings
Responsibilities and Duties:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students in both junior high and kindergarten Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and support services as needed Facilitate behavioral and academic interventions tailored to individual student needs Partner with teachers and administrators to promote positive learning environments Communicate assessment results and recommendations clearly to families and school teams Assist with the implementation and monitoring of intervention plans and progress tracking This full-time contract role offers the chance to work across two unique educational environments, expanding your professional toolkit and making a measurable impact.
