Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make an impact every day working with elementary students as a dedicated School Psychologist on a full-time contract basis. You'll collaborate with a supportive team to foster student growth and well-being at a highly respected district located near Normal, IL. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about empowering young learners and contributing to a thriving educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
Valid School Psychologist certification required Prior experience in school settings, particularly with elementary-age children, highly desirable Proficient in conducting assessments, writing comprehensive reports, and participating in IEP meetings Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary school team
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage a full-time elementary caseload, providing direct and indirect psychological services Administer assessments and interpret results to inform educational planning Write detailed, legally compliant reports for eligibility determinations and re-evaluations Collaborate with educators, families, and service providers to support student interventions and positive outcomes Participate actively in team meetings, consultations, and response-to-intervention processes Advocate for student needs while supporting school-wide mental health initiatives Experience the support of a well-established and welcoming team every step of the way so you can focus on what matters most: helping students succeed.
