Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact working as a School Psychologist in a dedicated, building-based position supporting students from Early Childhood through 5th grade. This contract role offers full-time hours, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 32.5 hours per week (6.5 hours per day), and runs from August 17 to June 5. You'll serve three different buildings in the Oak Lawn and Orland Park, IL area, collaborating with educators and families to promote students' academic and emotional well-being.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid certification/license to practice as a School Psychologist (Illinois PEL with School Psychologist Endorsement required) Experience with comprehensive psychological assessments for a variety of disabilities Skilled at facilitating and scheduling meetings, including IEP and eligibility conferences Ability to develop and implement strategies and support plans for students Strong communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Flexibility, organization, and a proactive approach to daily responsibilities Proficiency in Spanish, Polish, or Arabic is highly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough student assessments and interpret data to guide educational planning Schedule and facilitate meetings, including IEPs and eligibility reviews Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff across three buildings Provide consultation and recommendations to promote student success Support students' academic, behavioral, and emotional goals through evidence-based interventions Uphold all compliance and documentation requirements for assessments and meetings Perks of the
