Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of children by supporting their social, emotional, and academic growth in a contract role for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This opportunity is tailored for a dedicated school psychologist who will split their expertise between an innovative early childhood center and a specialized elementary program that serves students with autism and developmental disabilities. As a vital member of the educational team, you'll spend 3.5 days each week at the Early Childhood Center, focusing on preschool and kindergarten students, and 1.5 days within a supportive, close-knit elementary setting designed for students in grades K-5 with specialized needs. This balanced, full-time role offers the chance to collaborate closely with teachers and multidisciplinary professionals in both environments, impacting young learners during their formative years.
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement required Experience working in early childhood settings, with knowledge of developmental milestones Familiarity with students with autism and developmental disabilities highly preferred Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and consultation Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities Previous school-based or pediatric experience advantageousResponsibilities:
